I would like this to be a place where I am able to share what God has been doing in my family and in my life personally.

A Chronological Bible Reading 2 Fall of Satan
The Chronological Bible starts with John 1:1. Jesus. The Word. Before anything was created there was Jesus as the Word. This verse made me think of Psalms 119:89, "Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven."
Then Psalms 90:2, before everything that was created, He is God.
Genesis 1:1, creation of heaven and earth
Isaiah 14:12-18, the fall of Satan
Ezekiel 28:13-18 description of the creation and fall of Satan
Genesis 1:2; Jeremiah 4:23-26; Isaiah 45:18; Genesis 2:4, description of the earth
This seems like such a rocky start for the creation of the earth. Let's see what happens the first week!

A Chronological Bible Reading 1 Introduction
I read the King James Bible because I believe it is God's word. I need to know what God is saying to me no matter how hard it is to understand because I want to do what is pleasing to God. I do not think the King James Bible is hard to read. I love my King James Bible.
I have started to read The Reese Chronological Bible by Edward Reese. It is the King James Bible in Chronological order. Have you every thought about that? I am going to have a lot of fun posting my readings and sharing what I am learning.
Mr. Reese makes it very clear that no one agrees on some of these dates but it is a great tool to help you study your Bible better. Only the King James Bible verses are inspired and they are they most important thing.
Before I can get started I need to address an issue about creation. I am going to tell you where Mr. Reese stands and then I will share with you how I am going to present it because of what I believe.
Mr. Reese stated that he believes in the Late Creation Theory. I have looked it up and even asked my Facebook friends which include preachers but did not get a response. Mr. Reese does believe in a literal 24 hour day for creation.
I am familiar with the Gap Theory. Basically, it is that God created the heaven and the earth, Gen 1:1. Then Satan fell and God had to start over with Gen 1:2. That is how they say the world is millions of years old.
When did Satan fall? Was is it before creation? Was it after God started creation? Did it have to take millions of years for Satan to fall?
Please continue reading here to find out where I stand on this issue.

Let's Make a Deal! Day 3
Today's reading Genesis 28:20-Genesis 40:11
This day's reading showed a lot of deals. There were deals between Jacob and Laban. Jacob and an angel. Shechem and the twelve sons of Jacob. Then a deal with the twelve sons of Jacob and the Midianites merchantmen. The merchantmen and Potiphar. Judah and his daughter-in-law Tamar. Then Potiphar' wife and Joseph. Finally Joseph and the butler.
Also in the reading along with the deals were deception. I need to be aware with whom I deal with. I need to search for wisdom from God in prayer and in my bible before I join in a deal with someone.

Blessed ~~Day 2
Today's reading Genesis 17:1-Genesis 28:19
If one word could describe the today's reading it would be blessed. Blessed for obedience. Blessed for children. Blessed with a birthright.
God wants to bless us. Do I want his blessings more than what the world has to offer? My flesh said sleep in this morning but the Lord had a blessing waiting for me here. This time I chose the blessing. Thank you Lord!

90 Day King James Bible Read Thru Day 1
Today's reading Genesis 1:1- Genesis 16:16
Day One
I had planned on getting up at 6am but ended up getting up at 6:30. Not so bad. When I got up everyone else was up. Of course, on a normal school or work day NO ONE wants to get up on time much less at 6:30 or earlier! I knew than that the battle was not with reading the bible but it was everything else going on around me.
I did get a few things out of my reading which was a blessing. The first was that husbands are to rule over their wives. (Genesis 3:16 KJB)I do not want to get into the whole women's rights issue but what I got was that it is my husband who is to "rule" over me not my pastor or another woman. Not another families ideas or standards. My husband knows what is best for us. It is God's plan.
The second was found in Genesis 14:19,20 where the term "most high God" is used. Is God the most high in my life? Or is it the T.V. or the computer? Is food the most high in my life? I need to have God be the most high in my life. Then everything else will fall into place. Everything has its proper order. God needs to be first.

Reading the Bible Through
I am going to start a 90-day Bible read through on Monday July 5th.
I got the idea from this site.

She is doing the program and will offer support via her blog.
I have read my bible through in a year and also as little as 27 days. I think 90 days will be good. I am going to blog my way as I read through the bible. Allowing you to see what I have read and also how it effecting my life as a stay-at-home-mom and homeschooling mother of 4.
I will also be using the King James Bible and really if you are going to read the bible it might as well be the Authorized Version.
Well, wish my blessing and I will see you back on July 5th. Have a Happy 4th of July weekend!

Japhthah, a Mighty Man of Valor

I was recently talking to a friend about our upbringing and the difficulties we had to deal with as very young children. Her story stayed with me for a while and during my bible reading today God brought this man’s story to my attention.
In Judges 11:1 we find Japhthah being described by God. First of all, how awesome is that. It makes me think, hmmm, how would God describe me? Anyway, back to Japhthah. God describes him as a Gileadite, a mighty man of valor, the son of Gilead, and, oh yeah, a son of a harlot. According to the bible Japhthah is run out of town by his own family because of who his mother was. They did not want anything to do with him. How tragic to be paying the price for your parents sins. Japhthah did not have a say in the matter just like so many children today do not have a say in how they come into this world. They are born into the most horrendous circumstances and are made to pay for their parents’ poor choices.
As the story goes on, the children of Ammon come and make war with Israel. Well, the elders of Gilead go and find Japhthah and not only do they want his help, they offer him a leadership role in this war. (vs6) Long story short Japhthah ends up going to war and with the Lord's help Israel defeats the Ammonites. (vs.32) Yeah!
What struck me about this story was the way Japhthah was brought into this world and how God used him in spite of his lineage. The fact that Japhthah’s mother was a harlot is not something to be taken lightly. I see this as hope for us that have been born in to unfavorable circumstances and through Christ we can be victorious. I was encouraged by Japhthah’s story because it illustrates God’s mercy and grace on our lives. God can use us if we are willing no matter what we have been dealt with in life.
