A Chronological Bible Reading-24 Tower of Babel

Genesis 11:1-9

Most everyone is familiar with the illustration of the tower of Babel. This is where groups of people were given a different language so as to confound each other and greatly hinder communication. Thus making it impossible to continue to build their tower to heaven.

The point I would like to bring out is that the Bible says in Genesis 11:5 that "the LORD came down." The LORD was not with them and then He was with them. As Christians we do not ever have to worry about that happening to us. God is with us all the time through the Holy Spirit and what Jesus did on the cross.

The Holy Spirit is constantly guiding us to do what is right. I find great peace in knowing that.
