Exodus 15:19-Exodus 28:43
"And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;" Exodus 19:3
It looks like that the things put forth in this section are to establish the children of Israel as a peculiar people.
They have laws.
They have a certain way to worship.
They have a certain place to worship.
Their priests have a certain garment for worship.
And only the priest can go before the Lord.
I have learned that I need Jesus. I need grace. We were never able to keep these laws and standards. All this was put into place to show us our need for a Saviour.

ReplyDeleteI love the last sentence of your entry. I don't think I've ever looked at the law of Moses that way before, but I agree with you.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. (KJV)
